Denn die CiviCRM-Community entwickelt ihre Software täglich weiter. Wer CiviCRM als Software selbst betreibt, muss sich deshalb kontinuierlich um die Aktualisierung seiner Instanz kümmern. Referenzprojekt
Save Social – Networks For Democarcy will soziale Netzwerke als demokratische Kraft retten. Damit aus dem Anspruch eine handlungsfähige Organisation wird, stellt polbeo im Hintergrund belastbare Infrastruktur. Die Geschichte beginnt im Juni 2025 in Mainz. Aus einer Begegnung erwächst eine zivilgesellschaftliche Bewegung. Auch ein Känguru ist Teil dieser Geschichte.

Innerhalb eines politischen Fünfjahreszyklus werden in Deutschland alle Parlamente von der Landes- bis zur Europaebene neu gewählt. Dabei werden insgesamt mehr als 2000 Mandate neu vergeben. Hinzu kommen rund 200.000 Mandate in Gemeinderäten, Stadträten und Kreistagen, die in der Regel alle fünf Jahre, in Bayern alle sechs Jahre neu gewählt werden, sowie politische Wahlämter wie Bürgermeisterposten in ca. 11.000 Kommunen.
